The Roaster World Tour Set: Europe – Volume 01

Andrew Pautler

Six Countries. Six Roasters. One Coffee Tour.

Some of the most exciting coffees I’ve tasted over the years haven’t just introduced me to new origins or producers—they’ve introduced me to new roasters.

Every great roaster has a slightly different approach to sourcing, roasting, and ultimately presenting a coffee. And while we have an incredible specialty coffee scene here in the United States, there’s a whole world of exceptional roasters doing things differently around the world.

That idea is the inspiration behind the Roaster World Tour, a new recurring tasting series from Pull & Pour built around exploring some of the best specialty coffee roasters around the world.

For our first stop, we’re heading to Europe.

Roaster World Tour: Europe Vol. 01 brings together six coffees from six standout roasters across six different European countries—all in one box.

What Is the Roaster World Tour?

Over the years, I’ve put together sets like the 12 Days of Coffee Christmas, Best of Colombia, and Best of Africa. Each has been an opportunity to taste coffees side-by-side and explore a specific theme in a way that simply buying one bag can’t replicate.

The Roaster World Tour takes that concept in a different direction.

Rather than focusing on where the coffee was grown, we’re focusing on where it was roasted.

Each volume will explore a different part of the world through a curated lineup of its specialty coffee roasters. Europe might be our first stop, but future volumes can take us anywhere—from Canada and Asia to Australia and beyond.

The roasters and coffees will continually change, making each volume its own snapshot of specialty coffee around the world.

Europe Vol. 01

Europe has one of the most exciting specialty coffee scenes in the world, particularly for anyone who loves lighter, more expressive roasting.

For Volume 01, I wanted to assemble a lineup that represents that scene through roasters from across the continent:

🇳🇱 DAK Coffee Roasters — Netherlands
🇨🇭 MAME — Switzerland
🇬🇧 Kiss the Hippo — United Kingdom
🇪🇸 NOMAD Coffee — Spain
🇩🇰 Coffee Collective — Denmark
🇳🇴 Solberg & Hansen — Norway

These aren’t six variations on the same idea. Each roaster has its own identity and approach to coffee, which is exactly what makes tasting them together so interesting.

Some will already be familiar names to serious specialty coffee drinkers, while others may introduce you to a roaster you’ve never had the opportunity to try.

That’s the point of the Roaster World Tour set — experience your favorites and discover your new favorites.

What’s Inside the Box?

Each Roaster World Tour set includes six 100g jars, with one coffee representing each featured roaster.

That means 600g of coffee total, but more importantly, six distinctly different tasting experiences.

The lineup was intentionally curated for variety. Across the six coffees, you’ll experience different coffee-producing countries, varieties, processing methods, producers, and flavor profiles.

Rather than choosing six coffees that taste similar, the goal is contrast.

You might move from something clean, delicate, and floral to something intensely fruit-forward. One coffee may showcase a classic washed process while another demonstrates what experimental fermentation can do. Different varieties and growing regions bring another layer to the experience.

It’s a chance to explore not only what makes each coffee unique, but how six different European roasters interpret the coffees they choose to put their names on.

A Different Way to Explore Specialty Coffee

One of my favorite things about coffee is just how much there is to explore.

Two roasters can take coffees with similar profiles and present them completely differently. Processing can transform familiar varieties. And coffees grown thousands of miles apart can sometimes have surprising similarities in the cup.

The Roaster World Tour is built around that discovery.

Ordering individually from six international roasters would mean six separate orders, six international shipping charges, and a lot of coffee. This set brings them together into one curated experience.

You get to travel through Europe’s specialty coffee scene without leaving your kitchen.

And This Is Only Stop 01

The part I’m most excited about is that Europe Vol. 01 is just the beginning.

The Roaster World Tour is designed to evolve. Each numbered release will feature a new lineup and potentially an entirely new part of the world.

Europe — 01.

Then somewhere else for 02.

And another stop for 03.

As the tour continues, we’ll discover new roasters, revisit parts of the world with entirely different lineups, and hopefully taste some incredible coffees along the way.

You don’t need to collect every volume—but I have a feeling you’re going to want to.

For now, we’re starting with Europe.

Six coffees. Six roasters. Six countries. 600g of exceptional specialty coffee.

Welcome to the Roaster World Tour: Europe Vol. 01.
