This beautiful Nicaraguan Gesha is the first in a special release series from the Pull & Pour Coffee Club. This incredibly special coffee is a Nicaraguan Gesha from Fincas Mierisch. It comes from the farm Las Delicias. Las Delicias is run by Cup of Excellence Head Judge, Eleane Mierisch. She focuses on rare & exotic coffee varieties on the farm with these Gesha seeds originating from Panama. The sister seeds have placed 1st in the Cup of Excellence competition over the last two years at the Mierisch farm in Honduras.

This coffee is a stunner—and is only available in the United States through the Pull & Pour coffee club. Here’s an overview of what I’ve experienced with the coffee…

The coffee begins with a tea-like fragrance that is structured yet delicate. I picked up floral notes paired with berries and lemongrass. The taste has a wonderful combination of citrus, peaches, berries & sweet florals. The tea-like, light structure paired with the sweetness really reminded me of sweet tea. I also got notes of strawberry taffy from the sweet berry notes paired with the silky, smooth mouthfeel. The acidity is crisp and sharp with some strong lemon citrus.

Overall I was incredibly impressed with this coffee during the sample roasting and knew it would be a perfect selection for the first special release of the club. The coffee is extremely limited with only 80 jars available. To have a chance to pick up this special coffee, be sure to join the free Pull & Pour Coffee Club.
