This is the second coffee review in a series from Kickapoo Coffee Roasters. Be sure to refer back to the first review to learn more about Kickapoo.

The key feature that stuck out to me about this coffee was its complexity. There was a lot going on within this cup of coffee and I really needed to work to uncover the various flavor notes and overall profile of the coffee. The flavor included deeper stone fruit notes—not like the bright, berry notes found in some coffees. There was also a nice, citrus-like acidity that blended really nicely with the flavor. The medium body complimented the coffee well and the nutty sweetness evolved as the coffee cooled. Even at the end of each sip, the complexity continued as tart fruit notes came through in the aftertaste.

The Bottom Line

This coffee continued to surprise and delight. The coffee evolved as it cooled toward room temperature, but it also seemed to deliver something a little new every time I drank it making it an exciting one to come back to day after day. Kickapoo Coffee Roasters delivered again with a coffee definitely worth trying.
