Pros
I love my Yonder Coffee subscription because it provides me with an opportunity every month to try roasters around the world I would otherwise never be able to try (and in many cases never have heard of). That is true of Libertario Coffee Roasters, a specialty coffee roaster based in Bogotá, Colombia.
Las Nubes Gesha is a naturally processed gesha coffee from Colombia that began with a sweet fragrance that reminded me of chocolate, marshmallow and berries. The flavor was simply incredible with chocolate dominating and notes of lemon citrus and floral playing supporting roles. As the coffee cooled berry and fruit notes, as well as a more pronounced sweetness came forward. The coffee had a lush mouthfeel that was smooth and full-bodied. The sweetness lingered long into the finish and was raw sugar and chocolate-toned.
The Bottom Line
Overall the coffee had a great layering of flavors and was simply delicious. It wasn’t necessarily wild or exotic, but had a lovely mix of layered flavors, was extremely drinkable and incredibly delicious. I am so glad I got to experience this coffee and learn about Libertario Coffee Roasters.
