Disclosure: Pull & Pour received coffee samples for this post, however, as always, all opinions are 100% my own.
Ecuador is surrounded by some of the most well-known specialty coffee origins in the world (Colombia, Brazil, and Peru) and yet Ecuadorian specialty coffee is something you don’t see all that often. There are a variety of reasons for that, but it does mean when you find an incredibly high-quality Ecuadorian coffee, it is a very special experience. This washed Ecuadorian coffee from Finca Lugmapata and roasted by Paradise Coffee is definitely that rare, special experience.
The coffee began with a sweet, rich fragrance of pineapple and tropical fruits. The flavor profile is richly sweet-tart with notes of florals, honey, and tropical fruit. The acidity is bright & lovely with a viscous, silky mouthfeel. The full body is supported by a honey-toned sweetness that pairs perfectly with the floral, fruity flavor profile. The coffee lingers after every sip with a syrupy, resounding finish.
The Bottom Line
The attributes in this coffee create a beautiful interlude together that is full of floral and fruit sweetness. It is likely the best Ecuadorian coffee I’ve had to date and one I’ve cherished every brew.
