Pros

  • Complex citrus profile

Colombia El Obraje Washed Gesha comes from Hacienda El Obraje in the Narino region of Colombia. The most recent harvest of the crop won the 2021 Cup of Excellence and from the moment you start to brew the coffee, you can understand why.

The coffee began with a sweet lemon and chocolate fragrance. The flavor was incredible with sweet orange citrus and floral notes. It is juicy, complex and oh so tasty. The acidity is citrus-toned and steady throughout with a mouthwatering mouthfeel. The sweetness is complex and was full of citrus and honey. The finish features more of the lingering sweetness.

The Bottom Line

This Colombian Gesha was a real treat to enjoy. The complex citrus notes and layers of flavor made for a brew that deserved the utmost care and was incredibly delicious to brew each morning.
