Disclosure: Pull & Pour received coffee samples for this post, however, as always, all opinions are 100% my own.
Finca Santa Teresa is one of the most well-known and respected farms in Panama and I’ve always been impressed with the coffees they produce. Corvus Coffee recently featured four of their Geshas in their reserve series (Teresa Washed Gehsa, Sophie Natural Gesha, Summer Natural Gesha, and Estribi Natural Gesha). This Teresa Gesha was my favorite from the set and has been one of my favorite coffees of the year.
The coffee began with a fragrance of clean, sweet florals that was sophisticated and complex. The flavor reminded me of sweet lemon citrus, strawberry, and clean florals. The entire profile had an elevated presence to it that came from the lush & silky, yet very structured mouthfeel. The sweetness was fruit-toned with orange citrus undertones. The coffee was so clean and balanced and embodied so much of the classic Gesha profile I love so much.
The Bottom Line
My favorite Geshas are sweet, complex, and clean. This Teresa Gesha from Corvus Coffee was all those things and more. It’s a very special coffee and one anyone who was lucky enough to snag at the release will enjoy brewing.
