Disclosure: Pull & Pour received coffee samples for this post, however, as always, all opinions are 100% my own.

Detour Coffee is a roaster based out of Ontario, Canada. I recently had my first opportunity to try some of their coffees, which included this naturally processed Ethiopian.

The coffee began with a sweet, lime citrus and tropical fruit fragrance. The flavor featured strong lime citrus throughout and more subtle berry and tropical fruit undertones. The acidity was strong, but not overpowering and was quite approachable for a naturally processed coffee. It had a medium body and a fruity, citrus-toned sweetness. The finish was a bit dry and featured lingering notes of more of the lime citrus qualities. The layering of flavors added some nice complexity to the coffee and I really enjoyed brewing it in a variety of pour over methods.

The Bottom Line

This lime citrus centered Ethiopian was approachable, delicious and a great first exposure to Detour.
