Pinot Natural is a naturally processed coffee from Honduras and one of Creature Coffee’s latest additions. Creature Coffee is a fun brand with big and bold coffee; this one fits right into the lineup.
The coffee begins with a big and bold fragrance that reminded me of red wine and raspberries. During brewing notes of cherries came to the forefront and carried into the flavor, which reminded me of cherries, chocolate, berries and subtle earthy notes. The cup is rich and bold with a lush, decadent mouthfeel. The chocolate-covered fruit sweetness is accompanied by some floral undertones that rise to the surface in the aftertaste along with some lingering sweetness. The acidity was fairly muted and steady throughout. I really enjoyed how the cup evolved in every sip and the beautiful layering of flavors within.
The Bottom Line
If you enjoy big and bold cups, this Pinot Natural is a perfect one to try. It’s adventurous and a lot of fun to explore.
