I’ve had the chance to try a lot of unique and special Kenyan coffee this year. This naturally processed Kenyan from Stage Line has been one of my favorites though.
The experience with this Gatugi Natural began with a strong, richly sweet fragrance of strawberries and florals. The flavor is incredibly juicy with a lovely mix of tropical fruit, sweet berries and jasmine notes. The coffee had some wonderful evolution as it cools becoming a bit more tart with a lovely punch. The coffee’s fruit-toned sweetness is dominate throughout and lingers long into the finish.
The Bottom Line
This naturally processed Kenyan was so unique and delicious. Coffees that are juicy, sweet and wonderfully complex are some of my favorite and this coffee from Stage Line checked all of those boxes and did it with a processing method not commonly found in Kenyan coffees.
