Disclosure: Pull & Pour received coffee samples for this post, however, as always, all opinions are 100% my own.

Presta is a roaster based out of Tucson, Arizona who I discovered recently through the Firstbloom app. The app recommended Walichu Wachu as a coffee that would be a great fit for me and it certainly was.

The coffee begins with an incredibly strong berry fragrance. As soon as you open the bag the notes of strawberry & blueberry explode from the bag. After grinding and throughout brewing, the strong berry notes overwhelm in a delicious aroma. The berry notes stick around for the flavor to create a true fruit bomb that also has some creamy and chocolatey undertones. The acidity is a bit more muted at the front, but comes on stronger in the finish, which has a wonderful citrus acidity.

One of the more unique elements for the coffee was its body, which was smooth and silky; the coffee felt as it if coated your mouth like a heavy cream. Usually coffees like this have lighter more tea-like bodies, so it was fun to experience both the fruit bomb flavor notes, but the heavier, fuller body.

The Bottom Line

This was a great naturally processed Ethiopian coffee and would be a great find for anyone who enjoys fruit-forward coffees. The creamy and chocolate undertones paired with a thicker body though add a nice, unexpected quality to the coffee.
