Disclosure: Pull & Pour received coffee samples for this post, however, as always, all opinions are 100% my own.

Onyx always brings its A-game for their single-origin offerings and I was excited to get to try this latest Ethiopian offering from them to start the summer.

The coffee begins with a really lovely, sweet fragrance that reminded me of lemon and berries. The flavor was complex with notes of strong lemon citrus, stone fruit, subtle caramel, and florals. It was a wonderful mix of flavors with great depth and a nice evolution as the coffee cooled, which brought out even more of the sweet citrus. The body was light & tea-like, but despite its delicate nature had some nice structure to it. The coffee was quite sweet with a pairing of caramel and fruit-forward sweetness leading the charge.

The Bottom Line

This coffee was delightful and I’ve enjoyed it equally hot and iced on these hot summer days. It was another winner from Onyx for sure.
