Disclosure: Pull & Pour received coffee samples for this post, however, as always, all opinions are 100% my own.

Sans Coffee is a premium, monthly coffee subscription that features 100g of some of the rarest and most special coffees from some of the top roasters around the world. The offering for August 2021 was this naturally processed Ethiopian Gesha Village lot #54.

The coffee began with a sweetly complex fragrance that reminded me of dried fruit, honey, subtle citrus and floral notes. The flavor was deliciously complex with flavor notes that reminded me of honeysuckle and stone fruit with a floral foundation. It featured a delicate sweetness that was honey-toned and had a lovely balance between floral and fruit notes. The finish was sweet and full of grapefruit citrus notes. The coffee had a soft mouthfeel and a lighter body that paired perfectly with the other elements of the coffee.

The Bottom Line

This Gesha Village Lot #54 was a lovely coffee. It contrasted many of the loud and boisterous anaerobic cups I’ve been trying recently and featured a delicate complexity with a lot of depth and evolution in each cup.
