Disclosure: Pull & Pour received coffee samples for this post, however, as always, all opinions are 100% my own.
Roasti Coffee is a Canadian roaster run by Andrew Hayes. I recently had the opportunity to try a few of their roasts and was impressed by their offerings. I loved how approachable this naturally processed Ethiopian was and think it would appeal to a wide audience of coffee drinkers.
The coffee began with a fairly mild fragrance that reminded me of brown sugar, dark berries, and candied nuts. The taste was sweet and had notes of strawberry, chocolate, and a subtle creaminess. It had a fairly muted acidity and a medium body with a very syrupy mouthfeel. The finish lingered and featured a nice replaying of the sweetness from the drink before. The coffee had some nice flavor depth, though it didn’t feature as much evolution with the flavor throughout each sip.
The Bottom Line
While this natural Ethiopian wasn’t as wild or berry-forward as some you’ll find, it was an extremely tasty coffee. The approachable attributes and berry + chocolate flavor profile made this one that I think most coffee drinkers would enjoy.
