Coffee Cola Recipe

Andrew Pautler

Coffee Cola

Remember when Coca-Cola made that terrible Coke with Coffee? This is how they should have made it.

This coffee cola is a wonderful mixture of espresso, creamy sweetened condensed milk & cola. It’s easy, perfect for summer, and much better than any store-bought option you’ll find.

Key Ingredients for the Coffee Cola

Let’s break down the ingredients in this tasty drink:

  • Espresso: Rich, bold, and intensely flavored, espresso forms the heart of our Coffee Cola recipe. Brewed by forcing hot water through finely-ground coffee beans, espresso boasts a concentrated flavor profile that adds depth and complexity to the beverage. Its robust character provides the perfect contrast to the sweetness of other ingredients, creating a harmonious balance of flavors.
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk: Creamy and indulgent, sweetened condensed milk adds a luscious sweetness to our Coffee Cola. Made by heating milk and sugar until much of the water content evaporates, this thick and syrupy ingredient infuses the drink with a rich, caramelized flavor and a velvety texture. Its sweetness mellows out the bitterness of the espresso and complements the fizzy effervescence of the cola, resulting in a luxuriously smooth and satisfying drink.
  • Distiller’s Cola: Crafted with care and precision, distiller’s cola is the bubbly base that ties our Coffee Cola recipe together. Distiller’s Cola is made using a blend of natural botanicals, spices, and citrus flavors. You can use a normal Coca-Cola or other soda brand, but distiller’s cola really takes the drink to the next level. I use Fever Tree’s Distiller’s Cola, but find one that aligns with your flavor preferences. Regardless of which one you use, the cola adds crisp carbonation and subtle hints of vanilla and caramel that act as a refreshing counterpoint to the richness of the espresso and the creaminess of the sweetened condensed milk, resulting in a truly unique and irresistible beverage experience.
