Westie from Mall Grab Coffee recommended this coffee and after his recommendation of Tropical Weather was such a hit, I knew I had to check it out. Passion House is a roaster out of Chicago and B Loved is their current washed Ethiopian offering from the Sidama region.

The coffee begins with a fragrance that is sweet, chocolatey and bursting with citrus lime notes. The lime notes carry through the entire experience and are the prominent notes in the flavor. The lime notes grow as the coffee cools and the taste gets almost creamier. The coffee has a medium to full mouthfeel, which surprised me given the lightness of the coffee. I tasted some lovely floral notes in the sweetness, which combined with the chocolate and lime notes to create a really nice, complex coffee with a lot of evolution throughout each sip.

The Bottom Line

Westie came through again with a suggestion of a really nice, delicious coffee. It was complex, bursting with citrus and a great first experience with Passion House Coffee.
