Pros
Plot Roasting is a roaster based out of London and they roasting some amazing coffees. I discovered them through my friend Horia (the creator of the Orea brewer) and I’m certainly glad I did. They constantly have an amazing selection of coffees that are unique, sophisticated, and diverse. This coffee is a naturally processed coffee from India and had a flavor profile distinctive from other Indian coffees I’ve tried.
The coffee began with a wonderfully strong fragrance that was sweet and reminded me of mango, pineapple, and rich berries. The flavor was incredible and reminded me of rich milk chocolate, sweet dark berries, and subtle tropical fruit. It had a subtle boozy undertone, a full-body, and rich, decadent mouthfeel. The acidity crescendoed throughout each sip and was sweet and citrus-toned. The sweetness was fruity with chocolate support. It lingered into the finish, which featured notes of complex fruit.
The Bottom Line
This coffee was incredibly complex. It had a lot going on with multiple layers of flavor, lots of evolution of attributes within the cup, and a beautiful tropical/berry profile that was supported with notes of chocolate. I enjoyed every brew of this coffee and look forward to finding more Indian coffees like it.
