Disclosure: Pull & Pour received coffee samples for this post, however, as always, all opinions are 100% my own.
Panorama is a year-round blend from Wonderstate Coffee that always features high-elevation coffees that are roasted light and taste bright and punchy. When I tried the coffee it was comprised of 100% organic Ethiopia Danche.
The coffee begins with a vibrant fragrance that was sweet and had notes of blackberry, as well as chocolate. The flavor was vibrant and bright with similar notes of blackberry, chocolate and citrus. As the coffee cooled it became sweeter and smoother. It has a medium, rounded mouthfeel with a berry-forward sweetness. While bright and vibrant, the coffee was also very approachable and drinkable. There was a nice layering of flavors and a wonderful evolution from the bright acidity at the front to the smooth, creamier finish. The coffee preformed great in filter brew methods, but also made a nice, bright and balanced shot of espresso.
The Bottom Line
Panorama is an approachable option for anyone interested in exploring the lighter roasted, more exotic, high-elevation coffees found throughout speciality coffee. Wonderstate did a great job capturing the elements most attractive in these styles of coffees, but roasting it to be as approachable as possible.
