Orange, honey, and cold brew might sound like an unexpected combination, but they work surprisingly well together. Fresh orange juice brightens up the coffee, honey adds a mellow sweetness, and a raw sugar rim gives each sip a little extra texture. Finish it with a quick burst of cinnamon smoke for a warm, aromatic twist that makes this simple iced coffee feel like something special.

Smoked Orange Honey Cold Brew Coffee
This cold brew pairs fresh-squeezed orange with honey for a bright, refreshing drink that still lets the coffee shine. A raw sugar rim adds a little crunch and sweetness, while optional cinnamon smoke brings a warm, aromatic finish. It’s easy to make without the smoke, but the smoky version is especially fun to serve.
Equipment
- Rocks glass
- Cocktail smoker (optional)
Ingredients
- 1/2 orange
- 1 –2 tsp raw sugar for the rim
- 4 oz cold brew coffee
- 1 –2 Tbsp honey
- Cinnamon chips for smoking (optional)
- Ice preferably one large cube
Instructions
- Rub the cut side of the orange around the rim of a rocks glass, then dip the rim in raw sugar to coat.
- Add a large ice cube to the glass and drizzle 1–2 tablespoons of honey over the ice.
- Squeeze the juice from the orange half into the glass.
- Pour in 4 oz of cold brew coffee.
- Optional: Add cinnamon chips to a cocktail smoker and smoke the drink for about 1 minute, following the smoker’s instructions.
- Stir well to incorporate the honey, then enjoy.
Notes
Sweetness: Start with 1 tablespoon of honey and add more to taste. Honey can take a little extra stirring to dissolve in a cold drink.
Smoking: The cinnamon smoke is optional. Use food-safe smoking chips with your cocktail smoker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
