14 Awesome Gift Ideas for Coffee Lovers

Earlier this year I reviewed the Ratio Eight coffee maker from Ratio coffee. I loved the coffee maker, but my only issues with it were the high price tag and large counter footprint. Ratio is coming out with a new smaller, less expensive version called the Ratio Six though and I could not be more excited. I can’t wait to get my hands on one to try out, but given the quality of the Ratio Eight and how this product addresses the two concerns I had with it, I am already confident to recommend it.

I’ve experimented with a variety of eco-friendly coffee products this year and the stainless steel filters I have found have been one of my favorite. These and the similar ones from Ovalware are great alternatives to daily paper filters and can be used with either your Chemex or v60.

The Varia Brewer is one of those pieces of equipment that seem to have it all. It is a brand new product and think the coffee community is going to fall in love with it as it gains exposure. It allows you to brew 6 different ways with a single piece of equipment including pour over, french press & moka pot. If you’re getting a gift for someone who is tight on space or loves to explore different ways of making coffee, this is the perfect piece of equipment.

The OneBrew is an immersion brew method from Barista&Co, which is part of their Made Simple collection. It is a French Press style brewer that works equally well for coffee and tea. I reviewed it in detail this past summer and have continued to enjoy it for smaller cold brew batches or French Press style brews.

If you want to go big, there is no better way to do it than with an espresso machine. There are a lot of different home options, but this is the one I have and love. It makes it very easy to make espresso at home, while still giving you a lot of control including grind size, grind amount, etc. If you’re looking for a fully automatic option, this wouldn’t be it, but if you want to become a home barista, this is the best option out there, I think.

The cup from which you drink your coffee is almost as important as the coffee itself. I have loved these glass double-walled glasses from Ovalware. They look great and are incredibly functional for either hot or cold coffee drinks.

They are expensive, but there is no doubt YETI products are good at what they do. I love keeping my coffee in the YETI to keep it warm throughout the morning. Especially when we are out and about on the weekend, having the YETI rambler has become one of my favorite coffee accessories.

I love a good campfire mug and the ones created by Lettered Life are some of my favorite. She has a whole set of different options, but this is one of my favorite.

Everything Fellow makes is not only well designed, but extremely functional. These vacuum insulated mugs are perfect to take coffee on the go and keep it warm.

These reusable, collapsible cups are perfect for traveling or camping. I don’t have these specific cups, but received similar ones at a recent conference and they’ve been great for when I am on the go.

I have grown to love this book more and more over the year or so I have had it. It has such detailed and accessible information on different coffee making methods including pour-over, immersion, and cold-brew. It is way more than a pretty coffee table book and will become a reference guide you’ll refer back to often.

While I personally don’t have this book, I have heard nothing but good things about it. It is geared more towards the person just starting to up their coffee game at home. It includes information about buying beans, brewing coffee at home and various coffee recipes.

When green coffee (coffee before roasting) is aged in whiskey barrels, it takes on a lot of the flavor notes of the barrel without any of the alcohol. It creates a unique taste that pairs really well with certain coffees. I’ve reviewed a few barrel-aged coffees in the past and they are all incredibly unique and a great gift for someone who loves both the flavor of whiskey and of coffee.
